The Costa Luminosa Shines at Sea

Cruisers return to the Costa Luminosa for its spacious staterooms and fabulous amenities. Tastefully appointed in warm hues, these rooms offer a comfortable respite at the end of a long day. The ship itself comes alive with Vegas-style entertainment in the three-level theater, as well as in the amazing 4D cinema.

Likewise, the Grand Prix Simulator will thrill you as you feel what it’s like to race in a single-seat car. If you like fine art, you’ll be more than happy — over 288 original works of art and more than 4,000 prints are on view.

When it comes time to relax, the Samsara Spa is sheer heaven. This special retreat aboard the Costa Luminosa covers two levels with wellness-class staterooms and suites. Of course, these cabins have direct access to the spa and its solarium, thalassotherapy pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and gym. If that’s not enough, the ship has four bubbling Jacuzzis. Or go for a swim in your choice of three pools, including one with a retractable cover.

The Costa Luminosa sports four dining spots, such as Samsara and Club Restaurants. The Coffee & Chocolate Bar will keep you fueled with caffeine and happiness, and if you want to play a round, the casino keeps the cards flying. Want to mingle? Dance the night away at the disco or enjoy a cocktail or even a cigar at one of the 11 bars and lounges.

Casino Vega is on deck 2 of the ship. It features a number of slot machines, games tables and roulette wheels and hosts a range of tournaments from bingo to poker and blackjack. The casino is only open whilst the ship is at sea and under 18's are not allowed in the area.

Cinema Mizar 4D on deck 2, is a small extra charge cinema featuring 3D films along with special seats that move according to the action on screen, sounds, lights and images that make viewing the films a 4D experience

Ristorante Taurus is the ship's two level main dining room, located on decks 2 and 3. Breakfast and lunch are open seating. Dinner has an early and late dining option with set seating plans. Dinner comprises of 7 courses including appetisers, starters, mains of fish or meat, side dishes, salads, cheeses, and desserts. Vegetarian and special dietary requirement dishes are also available.

Club Luminosa is located on deck 10, and is the ship's a la carte club reservation only restaurant. This extra charge restaurant (with additional cost of drinks and a 15% service charge) serves up a variety of unusual food combinations, using state of the art cooking techniques such as liquid nitrogen to make ice cream. The restaurant is bookable through the Information Desk or free interactive kiosks on board the ship.

Samsara Spa (Gym, Jacuzzi, Beauty Salon, Sauna, Steam Room)

Samsara Spa (Centro Benessere Samsara) is located on decks 11 and 12, covering an area of 19680 square feet. Located within Samsara Spa is a gym and fitness area, salon, UVA-ray solarium, relaxation area, treatment rooms and thermal rooms and a Thalassotherapy pool. Treatments on offer include massages with either oils or volcanic rocks and steam clay baths. Thermal rooms include the dry heats of the Tepidarium (gently heated ceramic loungers), and Laconium (a hot room similar to a sauna but lower in humidity) and the Thermal Bath (a warm water spa). The Thalassotherapy pool is a warm mineral rich sea water pool with hydrotherapy water jets to relieve aches and pains. "

Fitness Centre (Gym)

The Fitness Centre, located on deck 10 within the Samsara Spa, offers a range of exercise and weight training equipment from treadmills with a sea view, to exercise bikes. Adjacent to the fitness centre is the spinner bikes spinning exercise room. Some fitness classes are free whilst others such as spinning, pilates and yoga cost 10 euros per session. Under 16's are not permitted to use the gym equipment.
